Eleanor Berta Fish

Eleanor’s life began October 18, 1929 in Benton Harbor.  She was a lifetime area resident of Watervliet where she worked on her family's farm for many years.  Eleanor also worked as a nanny and held jobs at Adams Electronics in Bangor and Watervliet Fruit Exchange.  Many years ago she was a member of the CB Club.  Eleanor took great pride in caring for her flowers and liked to unwind with puzzle books.

Her greatest joy came in spending time with her loving family which includes: six children Mike (Brenda) Fish, Jack Fish, Susan (Dave) Scholze, Fred Fish, Howard (Stephanie) Fish, and Marie (Kevin) Weber; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; a sister Dorothy Saltzman; and several nieces and nephews.

Eleanor died Sunday, November 10, at home surrounded by her loving family.  Her husband Chellace “Chuck” Fish, a son Carl Fish, and her parents Albert and Mary (Rex) Eisen precede Eleanor in death.  Friends may visit with Eleanor’s family Wednesday, November 13, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet where funeral services will be celebrated Thursday, November 14, at 11:00 AM.  Cremation will follow her services and she will be laid to rest at a later date in North Shore Memory Gardens.  Memorials may be made in Eleanor’s memory to Midway Baptist Church.
