Gary Hall Obituary

Gary’s life began August 15, 1947 in Centralia, Illinois.  Gary grew up in South Haven where he graduated high school.  After high school Gary proudly served his country in the United States Airforce.   He worked as maintenance supervisor at Heathkit/Zenith for 30 years.  Currently he was working for Harbor Shores and Evergreen Development. Gary also helped maintain the Harbor Shores neighborhoods in addition to helping at the Harbor Shores Golf Clubhouse.  Gary had many friends among the homeowners and will be missed by all of them.  Gary enjoyed golfing, deer hunting, taking walks in the woods, attending grandchildren’s sporting events, a supporter of Watervliet Athletics, and a huge Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers fan.

Gary’s greatest joy was spending time with his loving family which includes: his wife of 37 years Debbie (Thumm) Hall; children Keri Moore of Coloma, James Rodriguez (Brandi Ellis) of Watervliet, Lori (Rusty) Bender of Mattawan, Amy Jo (Joe) Reed of Watervliet, Deran Hall of Long Beach, CA, and Christal Mahoney of Coloma; grandchildren Corey (Taylor) Rodriguez, Alissa Rodriguez, Joey (Taylor) Reed, Justin Reed, Jacob Hall, Jared Naylor, Billi Naylor, Jayden McMiller, and Nikki Bryant; great grandchildren Isabella Rodriguez, Alex Rodriguez, Kinlee Johnson, McKenna Reed, and Maddi Reed; a brother Dan (Elie) Hall; sisters Betty (Tony) Cook and Gail (Mike) Oshry; and many nieces and nephews.

Gary died Saturday, February 9, at Lakeland Medical Center in St. Joseph.  Gary is preceded in death by a daughter Kimmie Hall, grandson Bryan Nail, first wife Frances (Oliver) Hall, father Floyd Hall, his mother Deeina Stamm, and the family pet Tootsie.  A memorial service will be celebrated Wednesday, February 13, at 5:30 PM at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet.  Gary’s family encourages everyone to wear Detroit Tigers or Detroit Lions attire for his service in honor of Gary.  You may leave a message of comfort for Gary’s family at hutchinsfuneral.com
