Jeanette’s life began February 10, 1960 in St. Joseph, Michigan. She grew up in Watervliet where she graduated high school in 1978. Jeanette worked as a lab technician at Whirlpool until she retired. Outside of work she enjoyed gardening and landscaping, camping, riding motorcycles, collecting old cars, cooking for her family and friends and working jigsaw puzzles.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her loving family which includes; three sons Jason (Julia) Querfurth, James Roeder, and Joshua Roeder, two grandchildren Jaylie and Jacob Querfurth, her dad John Hauf, sisters Vicky (Bob) Wagner, Virginia Hauf, Delores Hauf, Amy Schaub, and Lori Kaiser, a close friend Edward “Big Ed” Meagher, and many nieces and nephews.
Jeanette died Monday, March 19, surrounded by her family at Lakeland Medical Center in St. Joseph. Her husband Carl Haldy, mom Vicky Hartman, stepfather Donald Hartman, and an Aunt Delores Gaynor precede Jeanette in death. Friends may visit with Jeanette’s family Saturday, March 24, at 11:00 AM with a memorial service following at 12:00 PM at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet. Cremation will follow and she will be laid to rest later at Fairview Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Jeanette’s family.
