John (Jack) R. Bush

Jack’s life began June 26, 1929 in Illinois. As a child his family moved to Watervliet where he graduated high school in 1948. After high school Jack proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for six years. Before leaving he married his high school sweetheart Delores Mishler. Jack then returned home and worked as a supervisor for companies such as; VM, Bibco, IPM, and Zenith. Outside of work you could find Jack building model cars and boats, reading, walking, or sharing his knowledge about his movie collection.
Jack’s greatest joy came in spending time with his loving family which includes; his wife of 68 years Delores; four daughters Robin (George) Martell of Zeeland, Pamela (Dennis) Bradford of Benton Township, Susan Steigmeyer of Rockford, and Jacqueline Coleman of Grandville; 11 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; a sister Mildred Swift; and many nieces and nephews.
Jack went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Thursday, August 23, 2018, at Hanson Hospice Center. His parents Charles and Ruth (Cobb) Bush, an infant son John R. Bush Jr, and two brothers Charles and William precede Jack in death. Cremation has taken place and his family will Celebrate Jack’s life with a private Memorial Mass and burial. Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet is assisting Jack’s family with arrangements. Memorials may be made in Jack's memory to Hanson Hospice Center care of Caring Circle Hospice.
