Marcella (Immoos) Dixon

Marcella’s life began October 5, 1934 in Saint Paul, Minnesota.  She spent most of her life in Coloma where she graduated high school and raised her family.  Marcella loved children, making her a natural teaching religious education for St. Joseph Catholic Church in Watervliet.  Her family benefited greatly from her love of children because she was always there to care for her grandchildren, Marcella centered her life around family.  She leaves behind a large loving family to cherish her memory, which includes: nine children Martin Dixon, Barbara Brunson, Donald Dixon, Robert Dixon, Marcella Elston, Ronald Dixon, Angela McGillivray, Rudy Dixon, and James Dixon; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a sister Phyllis Green.

Marcella died Monday, August 21, in Saint Paul, Minnesota.  Her husband Rudy Dixon, a son Brian Dixon, a daughter Tina Dixon, three siblings, and her parents Joseph and Clara (Haider) Immoos precede Marcella in death.

Friends may visit with Marcella’s family Sunday, August 27, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet.  The Rosary will be recited at 4:00 PM.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, August 28, at 2:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Watervliet.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.  You may leave a message for Marcella’s family at hutchinsfuneral.com
