Margaret (Howley) Michielson

Margaret’s life began June 6, 1925, in Watervliet, Michigan.  She spent most of her lifetime in the Watervliet area and worked for 30 years at AMI.  She enjoyed the outdoors through camping, fishing and hunting.  When Margaret wasn’t outside she liked to play cards, do needle work, and work crossword puzzles.  In her younger years you could find Margaret on leagues playing softball or bowling.  Margaret loved to hop in the motorhome and travel, especially when the road brought her back home to Watervliet to see family.

Margaret’s greatest joy was her family which includes: her lifelong friend Shirley Trudell; son Randy (Kathy) Trudell; five grandchildren Valerie (Chris) Obenchain, Genie (Aaron) Karns, Nicole (Mike) Brown, Christy (Alex) Hornecker, and Shannon Trudell; six great grandchildren Kayla, Christopher, Evan, Zack, Tyler, and Lauren; her sister Louise Jacobs; 26 nieces and nephews; and numerous great and great great nieces and nephews.

Margaret died Tuesday, June 19, at Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont, Michigan.  Margaret’s parents William and Helen (Healey) Howley, four sisters Mary Dublin, Rita Jones, Pat Cartwright, and Ann Cartwright, and three brothers Martin Howley, John Howley, and Tom Howley precede her in death.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, June 25, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Watervliet.  Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet is assisting Margaret’s Family with arrangements.  You may leave a message of comfort for Margaret’s family at hutchinsfuneral.com
