Maria (Mary) (Lukianovich) Rosa

Maria (Mary) Rosa, 93, of Benton Harbor died Friday November 16.  Marie was born August 14, 1925 in Krukin, Poland to Vasily and Aleksandra Lukianovich.  She married Henry Rosa in 1951 after immigrating to the United States.  Together they worked for several years in Chicago owning and managing various apartment buildings.  They moved to Benton Harbor in 1974, where she enjoyed being outdoors and working in her flower gardens.  Maria is survived by her sister Nadezda Klimovich and her children Ana, Vasily, and Alla all of Belarus.  She is also survived by her sister-in-law Nina Lukianovich and her children Georgi, Vasily of Belarus and Valentina (Michael) Sila of Eau Claire, Michigan.  Maria was preceded in death by her parents, husband Henry in 2009, and a brother Nikolai Lukianovic in 2015. 

Visitation for Maria will be Sunday, November 18, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet.  Maria will be cremated following visitation and then laid to rest at North Shore Memory Gardens.  You may leave a message of comfort for Maria’s family at hutchinsfuneral.com
