Cathy's life began January 1, 1953 in Watervliet. She was a lifetime area resident who enjoyed fishing, shopping, and trying her luck at bingo and the casino. Cathy also enjoyed baking, especially cakes. Cathy and William enjoyed traveling especially to Florida to visit their daughter.

Cathy's greatest joy was her family who she leaves behind to cherish which includes: her husband of 52 years William A Kinchen; three children Lica (James) Schmalfeldt, Billy (Shannon) Kinchen, and Trinity (Michael) Furgeson; nine grandchildren Paula, Heather, James and Stephanie Schmalfeldt, Alyssa, Ronnie and Billy Kinchen, David and Logan Berry; seven great grandchildren; a brother Tommy (Anna) Simpson; and many nieces and nephews.

Cathy died Saturday, August 12, 2023, at home. She is preceded in death by her parents Amos and Elfreda Simpson and her sister Debbie Aldrich. Funeral services will be celebrated Thursday, August 17, at 1:00 PM with visitation prior starting at 11:00 AM at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet.
