Obituary

Christine' life began July 7, 1918, in Chicago, Illinois. At six months old her family moved to Michigan settling in Benton Harbor. Christine attended elementary school at Cribbs School then went to Benton Harbor Public schools where she graduated. Christine was a lifelong member of St. Matthew's Ev Lutheran Church where she was active in the Lady's Aid. She also enjoyed volunteering her time as a 4-H Leader for many years, she was a member of Berrien County Farm Bureau Women's Club WSAM, and a member of Cribbs Community Club. When she wasn't volunteering her time you could find Christine doing what she loved, farming fruit and vegetables along side her husband Henry. After Christine retired from farming she worked at Jung's Greenhouse for many years.

Christine's loving family includes: a son Henry R (Naomi) Miller of Muncie, IN; a daughter Christine L. Miller-Whitman of North Muskegon, MI.; a daughter-in-law Rosalie Miller of Bainbridge Twp; seven grandchildren Deb (Pat) Iliff, Rusty (Patty) Miller, David (Christine) Zerbe, Edward (Allison) Miller, Stephen (Lynn) Miller, Brian (Janice) Zerbe, and Scott (Leah) Zerbe; 16 great grandchildren; six great great-grandchildren; a step-brother Chester Arent; two nieces; and many cousins and friends.

Christine died Thursday, January 8, at her current home in Muskegon. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Henry B. Miller, her parents Joseph and Christine (Meyer) Kuemich, son Manfred Miller, her sister Alma Kublick, a son-in-law Herbert Whitman, and a niece Irene Whittaker. Friends may visit with Christine's family Tuesday, January 13, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet. Funeral services will be celebrated Wednesday, January 14, at 11:00 AM with visitation starting at 10:00 AM at St. Matthew's Ev. Lutheran Church, 671 Mcallister Ave, Benton Harbor. Burial will follow in Crystal Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Matthew's Ev. Lutheran Church of Benton Harbor, Grace Lutheran Church, 2651 Shettler Rd, Muskegon, MI 49444, Wounded Warriors, or a charity of the donor's choice.
