Dale's life began February 26, 1959 in Thayer, Missouri. Dale eventually moved to Michigan making Southwest Michigan his home. He was a jack of all trades and worked washing windows, power washing, and painting. His favorite time was spent riding, building, or working on Harleys. He also enjoyed the outdoors and his dogs.

Dale's greatest enjoyment came in spending time with his loving family including: his wife Sheila Gaston; children Angel Gaston, Crystal (John Utley) Gaston Dale Jr (Kelly) Gaston, Joey Jackson, Leslie Jackson, Cecil Jackson, and Michelle Jackson; seven grandchildren Brooke Hughes, Emma Ferguson, Dalton Gaston, Mariah Gaston, Chloe Gaston, Kelsey Gaston, and Bentley Gaston; two brothers James Gaston and Everette Gaston; two sisters Geraldine Gaston and Terry Rawson; two special nephews James Gaston Jr and Billy Spangler Jr; a special niece Jodie Spangler and many other nieces and nephews; his mother-in-law Beverly Miller; and special friends Sheryl Turney, Diana Jackson, Will Terry, and Eddie Meigns.

Dale died Saturday, March 29, at Cancer Center of America in Zion, Illinois. He is preceded in death by two grandsons Jessie Hughes Jr and John Utley Jr and his parents Cecil and Earline (Hensen) Gaston.

Friends may visit with Dale's family Thursday, April 3, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at New Life Christian Center in Coloma where funeral services will be celebrated Friday, April 4, at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Cemetery in Watervliet. Memorials may be made to Dale's family. Dale's family has entrusted Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet with arrangements.
