Daniel's life began January 21, 1961 in South Bend, Indiana. He proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer. Upon returning home from the service, he went to work for the Niles Police Department and then was a Sergeant Officer at St. Mary's College. Most recently, he was working as an independent contractor. In his spare time, Daniel enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, history, and watching his favorite show Svengoolie.

His greatest joy was his family which includes: three children Jeffery Hoida, Jason Hoida, Lindy Orszulak-Hoida all of Indiana; two brothers Michael Hoida and James Hoida; his ex-wife Mi Han; several nieces and nephews; and his cat Ninja.

Daniel died Thursday, April 25.  His parents Eugene and Carol (Hintz) Hoida precede Daniel in death.  Hutchins Funeral Home is assisting Daniel's family with cremation.
