Deanna was born December 2, 1951, in Watervliet, Michigan. She grew up in Watervliet, graduating from Watervliet High School. After high school she eared an associate degree in accounting and worked many of her years at Pierson Construction. In her younger years Deanna enjoyed riding motorcycles and traveling with her special friend Kay Bearty. She enjoyed life and spending time with family and friends. Deanna will be remembered for being so helpful and loving.

Deanna leaves behind a loving family to cherish her memory which includes her sister Marlene Flagel, many generations of nieces and nephews she held dear and her extended family Sandy Bearty, Stacy Bearty, and Susan Yore and their families.

Deanna died Tuesday, October 21, 2025. She is preceded in the by her parents Gustave and Marion (Sells) Flagel, five siblings Rose, Leonard, Robert, Harry, and Linda, and her special friend Kay Bearty.

Hutchins Funeral Home in Waterviet is assisting Deanna's family with cremation. Deanna's family will celebrate her life Sunday, November 30, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at Benton Harbor Church of Christ, 1495 E Empire Rd, Benton Harbor, MI 49022
