Donald's life began June 9, 1951, in St. Joseph, Michigan.  He grew up in Stevensville, graduating from Lakeshore High School.  At a very young age he went to work with his dad and that blossomed into Donald working as a general contractor for many years.  Donald served ten years on the Coloma Fire Department and he was an EMT for a few years as well.  He loved his community and was a past president of the Coloma Glad Peach Festival and was responsible for setting their fireworks off for more than 25 years.

Donald leaves behind a loving family to cherish his memory which includes: his wife of 25 years Asdis "Dee" Schultz; two children Natalie Marie (John) Schultz-Kahwaty of Pennsylvania and Kevin William (Maria) Schultz of California; two step-children Valerie (Rob) Krause of Coloma and Christopher (Sandra) Dadles of Ohio; six grandchildren Lucas Schultz, Matthew Schultz, Anna Schultz, Dustin Agnew, Joseph Conway, and Robert Conway; a great granddaughter Julia Conway; three brothers Kenneth (Beverly) Schultz, John Schultz, and Robert (Dana) Schultz; and many nieces and nephews.

Donald died Wednesday, December 7, at Lakeland Medical Center in St. Joseph.  His granddaughter Asta Dadles and his parents Paul and Rose Adel (Hemman) Schultz precede Donald in death.  Friends may visit with Donald's family Monday, December 12, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet where funeral services will be celebrated Tuesday, December 13 at 1:00 PM.  Cremation will follow his services.  You are invited to share a memory with Donald's family at hutchinsfuneral.com
