Ed's life began November 24, 1932 in Benton Harbor, Michigan. After graduating from Benton Harbor High School Ed proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Ed worked at Gast Manufacturing for many years. In his spare time Ed enjoyed woodworking, tinkering in his garage, camping, traveling, and watching birds and squirrels.

Ed's greatest joy came in spending time with his family which includes; his loving wife Charlene whom he married June 16, 1956, his daughter Lori (John) Corbin of Coloma, three grandchildren Sarah Corbin, John Corbin Jr, and Matthew Corbin, a sister Linda (John) Bower, and many nieces and nephews.

Ed died Tuesday, May 27, at Orchard Grove Extended Care Nursing Home in Benton Harbor. His parents Lester and Pearl (Lanpher) Taylor and two brothers Robert and Richard precede Ed in death. Friends may visit with Ed's family Saturday, May 31, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet.
