Ellarose's life began April 12, 1922 in Benton Harbor.  She was a lifetime area resident who enjoyed fishing, reading, and supporting the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears.  Ellarose worked for Prieb Brother's Oil for more than 25 years when she retired. Many years ago, she also worked for the City of Benton Harbor as a municipal court clerk and secretary to Mark H. Gross. Ellarose will be remembered for being a great mom and grandmother.  She is survived by a loving family including: two sons Gene Tidey of Coloma and Jack Tidey of Big Rapids: three grandchildren Nicole (Steve) Moser, Kelley (John) Burgess, Jack Aaron (Lisa) Tidey; and three great grandchildren Zack Burgess, Aaron Burgess, and Jet Tidey.

Ellarose died Tuesday, November 05, at Countryside Nursing Home in South Haven.  Her husband Leo Tidey, parents, and a brother Rudy Roberts precede Ellarose in death.  Friends may visit with Ellarose's family Friday, November 8, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet.  Ellarose will be laid to rest at North Shore Memory Gardens with a private family service.  Memorials may be made in Ellarose's memory to Hospice at Home.  You many share a memory with Ellarose's family at hutchinsfuneral.com
