Genevieve's life began December 19, 1921 in Hartford, Michigan. She spent most of her lifetime in Hartford where she graduated High School and raised her family. Genevieve worked for Standard Coil in Bangor and Warner's in Paw Paw during her adult life. She had a strong Catholic faith and served as a Eucharistic Minister and assisted with the religious education program at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Paw Paw.
Genevieve's greatest joy came from her loving family which includes: two daughters Diana (Joe) Tarala and Glenna (Paul) Jack; four grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; her daughter-in-law Mellie Wesaw; two brothers Thomas Wesaw Jr and Gerald Wesaw Sr.; and many nieces and nephews.
Genevieve died Wednesday, April 6, at her daughter's house in Decatur, TX. She is preceded in death by; her son Terry Wesaw, parents Thomas and Mildred Wesaw, a brother Leroy Wesaw, and sisters-in-law Mary Lee Wesaw, Patricia Wesaw, and Evelyn Wesaw. Friends may visit with Genevieve's family Sunday, April 10, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet where the Rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, April 11, at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hartford. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery in Hartford.
