Hazel passed away at the age of 86, on September 26, at South Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  She was born on July 12, 1928, the oldest child of Arthur Myrl and Violet (Bryant) Grannell.  She lived most of her life in Berrien County where she raised two sons George and Charles.  Hazel was a devoted employee for many years at the Watervliet Community Hospital until she retired.  She loved to read her celebrity magazines and keep up on her favorite TV shows.

Hazel is survived by a loving family, which includes her sons George (Renell) Watkins of Watervliet and Charles (Beth) Watkins of Benton Harbor, three grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a sister Doris (Bob) Neuman, and many nieces and nephews.  Her parents and a sister Elaine Leitz precede her in death.

Cremation has taken place.  Family and friends are invited for coffee and cookies while sharing memories with Hazel's family Saturday, October 4, from 1:00 to 4:00, at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice at Home.  You are invited to share a memory of Hazel at hutchinsfuneral.com.
