Imogene's life began November 12, 1950 in Manila, Arkansas. As a young girl her family moved to Michigan making their home in St. Joseph, where she graduated high school. Imogene enjoyed working be it in a factory, Wal-Mart, or cleaning houses. She was a collector of all things especially clothing and jewelry. Her Christianity and relationship with God were very important to her.

Imogene loved her family who she leaves behind to cherish her memory which includes: her husband of 55 years Mike Youdell; her son Adam Youdell; four siblings Lori Ashley, Lisa Bisbee, Mark Newton, and Michael Newton; and several nieces and nephews.

Imogene died Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Pine Ridge Nursing Home with her family at her side. She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Geneva (Elmore) Newton. Funeral services will be celebrated Monday, August 4, 2025, at Hutchins Funeral Home at 1:00 PM with visitation prior starting at noon. Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Cemetery in Watervliet, Michigan. You are invited to leave a message of comfort for Imogene's family.
