James' life began May 18, 1983, in Chicago, Illinois. His family moved to Coloma, making it home for most of his life. James graduated from Coloma High School and then attended Lake Michigan College where he graduated with honors with an Associate Degree. He worked as a production manager for Harloff Manufacturing Company. Outside of work James enjoyed doing a variety of things, such as collecting sports cards, playing with his 3 dogs, and traveling. James loved to learn new things and was always working on various projects. He dreamed about opening a restaurant with Isabel and then someday retiring as a Wal-Mart greeter because he loved interacting with people. He was a loving man who would drop everything to help someone out and will be remembered for his infectious laugh that made everyone laugh with him.

James' greatest love was his family which includes his wife Isabel, two daughters Vivian and Genevieve, his dad Ron Maser, and three siblings Brandy (John) Worley, Tiffiani Maser, and Cody Maser.

James died much too soon as a result of a car accident on March 10, 2025. He is preceded in death by his mom Renee McCrea. Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet is assisting his family with cremation. James' life will be celebrated Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 1-4pm at his home at 120 Biastock road, Benton Harbor, followed by a memorial service at 5pm located at King of Kings Church, 3231 Boyer road, Coloma MI.
