James' life began January 7, 1936 in Benton Harbor.  He was a graduate of Benton Harbor High School and he attended Michigan State University.  In his early twenties James was a semi-professional wrestler until a back injury ended his career.  James was widely known in the area for owning and operating Jung Nursery.  In his retirement James enjoyed model trains, being active in the North Berrien Senior Center through taking trips and participating in their various activities, and he enjoyed going out to eat at various restaurants.

James loving family includes a son Jim Jung of Maryland, a daughter Janice (Bill) Butcher of Centreville, and three grandchildren Carol, Kelly, and Kent.  He is preceded in death by his loving wife of many years Alyce (Wiese) Jung and his parents Otto and Martha (Juhl) Jung.

James died Wednesday, January 29, 2014.  Funeral services celebrating James' life will be Monday, February 3, at 12:00 pm with visitation prior starting at 10:00 AM at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet.  Entombment will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens.  Memorials may be made in James' memory to American Diabetes Association or North Berrien Senior Center.  You may leave a memory of James at hutchinsfuneral.com.
