Jane's life began July 17, 1919 in Marquette, Michigan.  She was a long time area resident and worked for many years as a bartender and cook at the Ole Black Cat and Elite Bar both in Watervliet.  Jane enjoyed crocheting and knitting up until just a few years ago when her eyesight wouldn't allow her any longer.  She also enjoyed going to the casino and scratch off tickets.  Jane's greatest joy was spending time with her family which includes: her son Ron McNees of Benton Harbor; a daughter-in-law Virginia McNees of Benton Harbor; six grandchildren Tammy Kuhn, Travis McNees, Charity Cummins, Jennifer Knapp, Rhonda Hastings, and Brad McNees; eight great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

Jane died Thursday, June 11, 2015, at Westwoods of Bridgman.  Her loving husband Leo McNees, two sons Jim and Chuck McNees, a granddaughter Lisa Clark, and her sister Betty precede Jane in death.  Funeral services will be celebrated Monday, June 15, at 2:00 PM with visitation prior starting at 12:00 PM at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet.  Memorials may be made in Jane's memory to the American Cancer Society.  You may leave a memory of Jane at hutchinsfuneral.com.
