Janet's life began May 31, 1943, in Benton Harbor, Michigan. She spent most of her life in Michigan, groing up in Eau Claire where she graduated High School. She later resided in St. Joseph and then Bainbridge Township where she had her last child. Janet later moved to Arizona where she met her life partner, David L. Kalina, and lived several years before returning to Michigan.

She is survived by: five children Martha (Todd) McGrady, John (Karla) Flippo, Anna Harper, Geoffrey Flippo, and Matthew (Katrina) Rosenbaum; twelve grandchildren; five great grandchildren; her life partner David Kalina; a brother George Hill; and several nieces and nephews.

At 10:09am Monday morning, December 13, our Lord brought his child; a life partner, our mother, and your friend back into his Great Kingdom. She passed away peacefully and comfortably with family at her side. May she rest in eternal Peace in The Kingdom of Heaven. We ALL loved you dearly, you will be missed dearly.

A Celebration of Life will be celebrated Thursday, December 23, 2021, at 6:00 PM at Yore Community Baptist Church, 2690 Yore Avenue, Sodus, MI 49126. Donations may be made to David Kalina. Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet is assisting Janet's family with cremation and you are invited to leave a message of comfort for Janet's family.
