Jason's life began March 24, 1972 in Niles, Michigan.  He grew up in Coloma where he graduated High School.  After high school Jason served an apprenticeship and became a carpenter.  He is a former business agent for Local 525 Carpenter's Council.  Outside of work Jason enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and traveling.  His greatest love was his family which includes: his girlfriend Caren Chapin of Kalamazoo; his two sons Caleb and Jackson Winfield and their mom Kimberly Barchett all of Coloma; his parents Ron and Cyndy Winfield of Coloma; his grandmother Vera Walther; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jason died April 13.  His grandparents Burton and Ruth Winfield and Howard Walther precede him in death.  A memorial service will be celebrated Saturday, April 16, at 1:00 PM with visitation prior starting at 12:00 PM at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet.  You are invited to leave a memory of Jason at hutchinsfuneral.com
