Jeanette G. Lamplot, 84, a longtime resident of Watervliet went to be with the Lord December 3, 2014.

Jeanette was born July 10, 1930, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Ethel and William B. Applegate.

Jeanette and her husband, Milton Lamplot, came to Watervliet in 1952, where they raised their family.  Jeanette was a homemaker in the early years of her marrieag3e.  She worked at Sears then taking employment at Watervliet City Hall as City Clerk.  A talented cook, Jeanette prepared many delicious meals for her family and friends.  Her greatest joy was taking care of her family.

Her husband, Milton Lamplot, whom she spent 51 years of joyful marriage, preceded her in death.  Also preceding her in death were her parents, Ethel Robichaux and William B. Applegate.

She is survived by: her brother William (Pam) Applegate of Ocala, FL; her sons David (Connie) Lamplot of Coloma and Bradley (Sherrie) Lamplot of Ocala, FL; a daughter Susan (Larry) Joyner of Watervliet; grandchildren Stacey Haney and Todd Lamplot both of Coloma, Jennifer Lovell of Florida, Brian Joyner of Watervliet, and Keith Maha of Florida; nine great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.

Jeanette's family will welcome friends from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, December 5, at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet.  Funeral services will be celebrated Saturday, December 6, at 12:00 PM at First Missionary Baptist Church, 295 Washington St. Coloma, MI, where she was a member, with Pastor Mark Manning officiating.  Burial will follow in North Shore Memory Gardens in Hagar Shores.
