Obituary

John was born December 13, 1947 to the late Glen Alberto and Leona Marie (Morris) Reese. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Nancy Lorene (Taylor) Reese whom he married on June 29, 1968. Also preceded in death by siblings Helen (Richard) Snyder, William (Dorthy) Reese, Betty (Mal) Meadows, Kathryn (Cecil) Moore, Ruth (Dale) Hanners, James Reese, Robert Reese, Richard Reese.

John is survived by sister Dorthy Long, sons Darrell (Edna) Reese, Paul Reese and daughter Ann (Steve) Curtis. Also his grandsons Jordan (Kristy) Gregory, Cody (Kylee) Reese, Jacob Gregory, Avory Reese and granddaughter Trinity Reese. He had 3 great grandsons Charles Ray, Austin Nicholas, and Alexzander Kane; four step grandchildren Stephanie Arant Truelove, Matthew Arant, Brandon Arant, and Blake Bittner; and numerous nephews and nieces.

John grew up in Watervliet, MI Class of 1967. He worked at Bosch in St. Joseph, Mi and retired after 30 Years.

John was known for his work ethic, motorcycling and his unwavering devotion to his family.

He always enjoyed family vacations, traveling the country visiting family along the way. He also enjoyed family camping trips, canoeing , holiday gatherings and late night/early morning poker games with brothers and nephews. He liked fishing, hunting, College and NFL Football, Baseball and playing in Pool Leagues in the area.

John was a biker at heart he loved riding around the country with his wife Nancy, brothers, nephews and their significant others. Just some of his adventures Blessing of the Bikes Baldwin, Toy Run Sturgis MI, Sturgis, South Dakota, California, Bean Blossom Brown County, Chillicothe Ohio numerous times. Also traveled to Alaska with his brother Richard, nephew Sean and son Darrell on the motorcycles.

John Reese lived to the fullest and even when he felt like he got knocked down time to time he would get right back up and keep pushing through. He treated everyone with the upmost respect as he would want to be treated.

Visitation for John will be Tuesday, October 6, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM followed by a service at 11:00 AM, at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet.  Burial will follow in North Shore Memory Gardens in Hagar Shores.

He will be deeply missed by family and friends and never forgotten.
