Luis' life began June 21, 1959, in Mexico. He relocated to Michigan with his family for work. He enjoyed cooking, dancing, gardening, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Luis was a loving family man.

He leaves behind a loving family to cherish his memory including: his wife Maria Linares; five children Maria Linares, Jose Linares, Laura Linares, Adrian Linares, and Alexander Linares; four grandchildren Ariel Acevedo, Aaron Linares, Xander Alejandre, and Noah Alejandre; five siblings Antonio, Candido, Lupe, Roberta, and Juana; and many nieces and nephews.

Luis died Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Corwell Health South in St. Joseph. He is preceded in death by his parents Leopoldo and Rosa Linares and three siblings Alfredo, Isabel, and Elena.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at 11:00 AM ,at Immaculate Conception Church in Hartford. Friends may visit with Luis' family Monday, July 3, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet. Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Cemetery in Watervliet.
