Joe's life began April 16, 1937 in Benton Harbor, Michigan.  Joe spent his childhood growing up in Watervliet where he graduated high school.  He worked for V-M Corporation for 22 years.  Joe's passion was fishing and hunting so 30 years ago he moved north where the fishing and hunting in his opinion was better.  While living up north Joe worked as a grounds keeper for Belvidere Golf Course in Charlevoix, Michigan.  Recently Joe's health required him to come back to southwest Michigan.

Joe leaves behind a loving family which includes: two sons Mike Brule of Fredrick, Michigan and Keith Brule of Benton Harbor; three grandchildren Marylin (Adam) Bishop, Andrea Brule (Courtney Grenon), and Kristen Brule; six great grandchildren Cali, Hannah, Alyse, Jace, Nolan, and Max; his companion of many years Mary Cook; a daughter-in-law Karen Brule; and several nieces and nephews.

Joe died Friday, November 24, at Lakeland Medical Center in St. Joseph.  A son Brian Brule, his parents Louis and Freda (Brown) Brule, and a brother John Brule precede Joe in death.  Funeral services will be celebrated Wednesday, November 29, at 2:00 PM with visitation prior starting at 12:00 PM at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet.  Burial will follow in Watervliet Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Hospice.  You may leave a message of comfort for Joe's family at hutchinsfuneral.com
