Joe's life began August 22, 1944 in Benton Harbor. Joe attended elementary school locally and then graduated from Howe Military Academy, after high school Joe continued his education at Michigan State University.  Upon earning his bachelor's degree Joe served his country in the United States Army earning the rank of Sargent.  Joe was a licensed practioner of Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), Master Practitioner of Subtle Communication Systems (SCS), and a Reiki Master.

Joe leaves behind a loving family which includes: his wife Margorie (Harnois) Willmeng; two children Katherine Willmeng and Jeremy Willmeng; three siblings Randy (Linda) Willmeng, Randall William (Christine) Holden, and Jane Willmeng; five nieces and nephews Marc (Christina), Jan (Ted), David, Matthew, and Timmothy.

Joe died Tuesday, March 28.  His parents Warren and Elinor (Scheer) Willmeng precede Joe in death.  Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet is assisting the family with cremation.  His life will be celebrated April 22, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Benton Harbor.  You may leave a message for Joe's family at hutchinsfuneral.com
