Karen was born June 1, 1960, in Watervliet, Michigan. Karen grew up in Watervliet where she graduated high school. After high school Karen continued her education at Lake Michigan College earning an associate degree in accounting. She was driven and earned her degree while also working full time at Pizza Hut during those years. Karen loved the beach and enjoyed collecting sea shells and lighthouses.

Karen leaves behind a loving family to cherish her memory including; her son Adam Wyatt, two grandchildren Austin Volk and Eva Wyatt, three siblings Chuck Smith, Gail Smith, and Kevin Smith, and many nieces and nephews.

Karen died Sunday, June 12, 2022, at home. Funeral services celebrating Karen's life will be held Friday, June 24, 2022 at 6:00 PM with visitation prior starting at 5:00 PM at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet. You are invited to leave a message of comfort for Karen's family.
