Larry was born on March 2, 1948, to Edward and Inez (Phillip) Sikes in Arkansas. When he was a young child his family moved to Michigan where Larry grew up. Larry enjoyed browsing flea markets and spending time with his family.

Larry leaves behind his significant other Lisa Smith, three children Larry Sikes, Nicole Sikes, and Jenna Sikes, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and three siblings Ricky Sikes, Billy Sikes, and Peggy Sikes to cherish his memory.

Larry died Monday, August 24, 2026, at home surrounded by family. He is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Inez Sikes and six sibling Donnie, Ronnie, Jerry, Charles, Freda and Jimmy.

Hutchins Funeral Home is assisting Larry’s family with cremation. His family will celebrate his life privately.
