Leona's life began July 29, 1927, in Watervliet, where she graduated high school and raised her family.  Leona was a lifetime member of Watervliet First United Methodist Church where she was involved in their women's groups and she enjoyed teaching Sunday School.  Leona worked for many years at VM in Benton Harbor but her favorite carreer was being a wife and mother.  When Leona wasn't working or caring for her family she enjoyed quilting, knitting, and crocheting.

Leona leaves behing a loving family which includes: her husband William; two sons James (Wendy) Russell of Greensburg, IN and Rick (Deborah) Russell of Ashville, NC; six grandchildren Bryan, Jennifer, Jason, Adam, James, and Erin; five great grandchildren; two sisters Helen Russell and Pat White; a brother Larry Clinard; and many nieces and nephews.  Leona died Saturday, June 28, at Indiana University Morgan Hospital in Martinsville, IN.  Her parents Earl and Dorothy (Leonard) Clinard, and two sisters Betty and Ruby precede Leona in death.
