Leoncia's life began December 6, 1932, in the Philippines.  She spent most of her life in the Philippines where she was an elementary teacher.  In 2002 when Leoncia and her husband Cedronio retired they moved to Watervliet to live with their daughter's family.  Leoncia loved caring for her granddaughter and helping to take care of the home.  Outside of caring for her family Leoncia enjoyed shopping and gardening.

Leoncia's loving family includes: her husband Cedronio Mesiona of Watervliet; her daughter Dr. Araceli (Bong) Mesiona-Brucal of Watervliet; a granddaughter Leah Isabel Brucal; six siblings Domnina Pueblo, Jose Cempron, Carmen Canlas, Manuel Cempron, Judith Tamayo, and Carlos Cempron; and many nieces and nephews.

Leoncia died Sunday, February 21, at Lakeland Medical Center in St. Joseph.  Her parents Eufracio and Isabel (Estillore) Cempron and four siblings; Heraclea Comamao, Remedios Balundo, Nenita Fullido, and Luz Ramirez precede Leoncia in death.  Friends may visit with Leoncia's family Friday, February 26, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet where prayers will be recited at 7:30 PM.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, February 27, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Watervliet.  Leoncia will be cremated following mass.
