Lucinda's life began November 24, 1941, in Benton Harbor, Michigan.  She was a lifetime area resident who loved her family, cleaning, putting together puzzles and working crossword puzzles.  Her loving family includes; four children John Schaffer Jr, David Schaffer, Tony Schaffer, and Marcia Schaffer; six grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a sister Darleen (Hamiton) Swears; many nieces and nephews; and close friends Carolyn Fowler and Elam Jenkins.

Lucinda died Monday, November 5.  She is preceded in death by: her husband John David Schaffer Sr; three children Charles Schaffer, Kathy Schaffer, and Cahrlene Schaffer; her parents Paul and Faith (Woods) Swears; two brothers Jimmy Swears and Bob Swears; a sister Norma Swears; and a close friend Doris Anglin.
