Marjorie's life began March 12, 1921 in Chicago, Illinois.  She spent her childhood growing up in Chicago.  After WWII Marjorie and her first husband Russell Halley relocated to Michigan.  Marjorie enjoyed filling her spare time reading, playing solitaire, and going out to eat. Her greatest enjoyment came in spending time with her loving family which includes: two children Sharon (Gerald) Gordon and Russell (Cynthia) Halley; three grandchildren Debra Becht, Gerald Gordon, and Stephanie Halley; three great grandchildren Ashley Rodriguez, Brandon Becht, and Rico Adams; a brother Raymond (Shelly) Burmeister; a sister Beverly Burmeister; and many nieces and nephews.

Marjorie died Tuesday, May 13, at West Woods of Bridgman.  She is preceded in death by; two husbands Russell Halley who she married June 28, 1941 and John Mihalik Jr who she married May 9, 1963, two daughters Kay Marie Halley and Gail Marie Halley, her parents Raymond and Kamma (Peterson) Burmeister, a sister Marie Lisciotto, and her best bud Carmen Barrechtt.

Funeral services will be celebrated Saturday, May 17, at Riverside Methodist Church at 11:30 AM with visitation prior to services from 10:00 – 11:30 AM.  Burial will follow in North Shore Memory Gardens.  Memorials may be made in Marjorie's memory to Riverside Methodist Church or Hospice at Home Palliative Care of St. Joseph.  Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet is assisting Marjorie's family with arrangements.
