Mark's life began July 5, 1959, in Paw Paw, Michigan. He grew up in Watervliet where he graduated high school. After high school Mark proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for four years. Upon returning home Mark continued his education to be licensed to operate water filtration plants. Mark worked most of his adult life for the Public Works Department for the City of Watervliet. In July of 2022 he retired after 26 years of service to the City of Watervliet, where he was the Iron Filtration Plant Superintendent and Public Works Supervisor. When Mark wasn't making sure the City of Watervliet was operating well you could find him at the ball fields coaching his children. Mark's passion was supporting his children and grandchildren in anything they touched and sports. He also enjoyed filling his spare time antiquing and collecting things to fill his store Mr Mark's Memorabilia.

There was nothing Mark loved more than his family who he leaves behind to cherish his memory including: five children Joe (Magen) Bolin, Mark Bolin II, Matt Bolin (Chelsey Davis) Travis (Miranda) Bolin, and Faith Bolin; nine grandchildren Lillian, Elijah, Brett, Ryan, Margaret, Makayla, McKinley, McKynzee, and Ryder; his dad A.C. Bolin, two siblings Linda (Tom) Gargano and Christopher (Carmen) Bolin; and several nieces and nephews.

Mark died Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Corewell Heath in St. Joseph. He is preceded in death by a daughter Ashley Bolin-Darling, his mom Annette Bolin, and a brother Donald Bolin. A memorial service will be celebrated Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 2:00 PM with visitation at 1:00 PM at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet.
