Mary's life began September 11, 1923 in Cicero, Illinois.  She grew up in Cicero, where she attended St. Frances of Rome in Cicero, IL and St. Mary's in Chicago.  In 1941 while working at a bank Mary met Otto Vent and they married at St. Frances of Rome in Cicero, IL on August 30, 1947.  She and Otto used to love to vacation at the resorts on Paw Paw Lake so upon retirement they made Watervliet, Michigan their home.  Mary became an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Watervliet where she was part of the St. Joseph Alter and Rosary Guild.

Mary's greatest joy came in spending time with her loving family which includes: four sons Michael Vent, Gregory Vent, Timothy (Mary) Vent, and Christopher Vent; eight grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law Christine Vent; a sister Elizabeth O'Connor; and many nieces and nephews.

Mary died Saturday, May 7, at Foster G McGaw Hospital in Maywood, Illinois.  Her loving husband Otto Vent, a son Mark Vent, two sisters Bernadette Linhart and Dorothy Poro, a daughter-in-law Kathleen Vent, three brothers-in-law Ernest Linhart, Thomas Poro, and Raymond O'Connor precede Mary in death.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, May 14, at 12:00 noon at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Watervliet with visitation prior starting at 10:30 AM at Hutchins Funeral Home, Watervliet.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Watervliet.  Memorials may be made in Mary's memory to St. Joseph Catholic Church.  You may leave a message for Mary's family at hutchinsfuneral.com
