Michael's life began February 10, 1949, in Leechville, Arkansas.  Michael proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  He worked as a master motorcycle mechanic for many years most recently at Paw Paw Honda.  Michael was well read and loved to hunt and fish.  His family includes: his wife of 27 years Marilyn Schultz; three children Michael McDaniel Jr, Sonja McDaniel, and Andrea McDaniel; two stepchildren Natalie (John) Schultz-Kahwaty and Kevin (Maria) Schultz; three grandchildren Lucas, Matthew, and Anna; and a sister Beverly (Ernie) Sandberg.

Michael died Friday, February 23.  His parents Johnnie and Margaretta (Morgan) McDaniel and two siblings Johnnie McDaniel and Gayle McDaniel precede Michael in death.  Friends may visit with Michael's family Sunday, February 25, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 6:30 PM at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, February 26, at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church in Hartford.  Michael will be buried with a private service at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Battle Creek.  You may leave a message of comfort for Michael's family at hutchinsfuneral.com
