Michael (Mike) Wayne Conkin , 70 of Coloma passed away April 4, 2025 after a long illness surrounded by his loving family at Hanson Hospice Center. Born March 24, 1955 to Osker and Maggie Conkin. He spent the last 28 years with his beloved significant other, Linda Gallert, of Coloma, Michigan.

Mike had a passion for softball and spent many years on the field with his close friends: Carl, Wally, John, Zeke, Johnny and Chris. He was also a familiar face, at Babe's Lounge and Lake Michigan Hills, where he worked as a bartender, welcoming countless patrons and golfers over the years. He was born in Banbridge Township, grew up in Coloma and attended Coloma Schools.

Mike is survived by his significant other, Linda Gallert, a stepdaughter, Heather (Jerame) Smith, step-sons, Joshua Gallert and Jason Gallert; step-grandchildren: Brendan (Demi) Collins, Madison Gallert and Carl Holloway; step-great grandchildren: Nylie Collins; a sister, Lula (Conkin) Poe, and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents: Osker and Maggie Conkin, sisters, Patricia and Linda; and brothers: Leo, Marion "Frank", George, Donald and Shirley.

Honoring Mike's wishes, he will be cremated, and no funeral or memorial service will be held. Hutchins Funeral Home is entrusted with his cremation.

A celebration of life will be planned later this year for his family and close friends.
