Obituary

Myrna was born on November 26, 1939, in Plainview, Minnesota. She spent her childhood and young adult life in Winona, Minnesota. On July 1, 1961, Myrna married the love of her life, Verlan (Bud) Steinhoff. A few years later, Bud accepted a position in Benton Harbor and the family relocated in Coloma.

Myrna cherished her role as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. While raising their four children, Christine, Michael, Pamela, and Tracy, she also worked along side Bud in running the family business, Steinhoff Jewelry & Optical.

Myrna found joy in cooking, baking and canning for her family and friends. She especially loved decorating for the holidays and filling the house with the smell of freshly baked Christmas cookies. In quieter moments, she could be found tending to her flower gardens, working on a puzzle, reading, bird watching, or taking walks. Above all, Myrna was an avid sports fan. She never missed a chance to cheer on her children or grandchildren and also enjoyed following women's college basketball and volleyball.

Myrna's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her husband of 64 years Bud; her four children Christine (Jeffrey) Fox, Michael (Jodi) Steinhoff, Pamela (Lonnie) Williams, and Tracy (David) Idinopulos; her eight grandchildren Morgan Wagner, Hannah Wagner, Travis Steinhoff, Andrew Steinhoff, Sierra Glavach, Demitri Idinopulos, Nicholas Idinopulos, and Gabriella Idinopulos. She was also blessed with five great grandchildren Bexley Green, Emery Cagel, Brooks Steinhoff, Bowen Steinhoff, and Zander Steinhoff. She is also survived by her six siblings Donna Evjen, Lolly Goetzman, Tom Haskett, Dan Haskett, Wayne Haskett, and Jon Haskett; and many nieces and nephews.

Myrna died Sunday, September 7, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family. She is preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Irene (Peters) Haskett and two brothers Jim Haskett and Bob Haskett.
