Naomi's life began March 1, 1942, in Knoxville, Tennessee. She proudly went back to school and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business and Finance as an adult. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper in a doctor's office, then she went to work as a school bus driver. Naomi and her daughter moved to Watervliet from Georgia about four years ago to be closer to family. In her spare time her favorite thing to do was take care of her grandchildren. Naomi also enjoyed flower gardening, bird watching, going for walks, and trying her luck at the casino.

Naomi leaves behind a loving family to cherish her memory including: three children Mike (Shirley) Sutton, Connie Walker, and James (Amanda) Sutton; 10 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Naomi died Saturday, May 4, 2024, at home surrounded by family. She is preceded in death by her husband Wallace Sutton, her dad James Flora, mom Ruth (Kosier) Flora – Vance, and two sisters Shirley Gamble and Carol Spicer.
