Peggy's life began June 4, 1941, in Manilla, Arkansas. She spent most of her life in Southwest Michigan. She worked at and eventually owned Lancaster Upholstery and Drapery with her parents and sister Betty. Peggy enjoyed crocheting, reading, sewing, cooking, baking Christmas cookies, and helping plant flowers. Her greatest joy was caring for people especially her loving family which includes: her son Ronn (Tammy) Horton II of Coloma; her grandson she raised Duane Horton II and three more grandchildren; four great grandchildren: a brother James (Joanne) Lancaster of Boring, Oregon; a niece she considered a daughter Daryla (Jack) Hunter-Stone; five nieces; and a nephew.

Peggy died Tuesday, May 5, at home. She is preceded in death by a son Duane Horton I, her parents Earlis and Alice (Fisher) Lancaster, and a sister Betty Hunter.
