Richard's life began September 19, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois.
Richard grew up in Chicago where he graduated high school.
He proudly served his country in the United States Navy.
Richard retired from Wolverine but his favorite job was helping Frank Simington manage his farm.
Richard found his relaxation while gardening and farming especially tending to his roses and caring for his dogs.
On November 4, 1972, Richard married the love of his life Dottie Finehout and they enjoyed 35 years together.
His greatest enjoyment came in spending time with his loving family which includes: four children Dee Dee (Steve) Stakely of Coloma, Emily (Jason) Allen-Moore of Hartford, Richard Pocevich Jr. of Florida, Angela (Cecil) Jackson of Hartford; 15 grandchildren Tony Jones, Ashley Layne, Clayton Stakely, Victoria Allen, William Allen, Elizabeth Allen, Joshua Moore, Tyler Moore, Brittany Heffington, Aspen Gerlach, Bailey Jackson, Samantha Gargano, Madison Nail, Hunter Jackson, and Aleigha Jackson; and three great grandchildren Karson Jackson, Holly Jones, and Gabriella Layne.
Richard died Monday, November 4.
His wife Dorothy "Dottie" Pocevich and parents precede Richard in death.
Funeral services will be celebrated
Monday, November 11 at 2:00 PM
with visitation prior starting at 1:00 PM at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet.
Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Cemetery.
