Vernon's life began December 13, 1926, in Black Oak, Arkansas.  His family moved north for work and he liked Southwest Michigan so he made it his home.  Vernon was a truck driver and owned his own company.  Vernon's loving family includes two sons Kerrie Haus of Compton, CA and Mike (Linda Ernster) Haus of Watervliet.

Vernon died Wednesday, February 3, at a nursing home in Bremen, IN.  His wife Bonnie Haus, siblings, and his parents Jeff and Lorene (Howard) Haus precede Vernon in death.  Friends may visit with Vernon's family Monday, February 8, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet.  Cremation will take place after visitation.  You may leave a memory of Vernon at hutchinsfuneral.com
