Bob's life began June 15, 1940 in Kennett, Missouri.  He spent most of his lifetime with the Southwest Michigan area.  Bob worked was a distributor for 7-up for many years and also ran convenience stores.  He loved to work, yet had a lust for life and knew how to have a good time.  Bob loved music and playing his guitar, he also enjoyed fishing and and spending time with his church family.  Bob's greatest joy came in spending time with his loving family which includes four children Dotty (Jeff) Herriman from Hartford, Robert Lee James Jr from Benton Harbor, Debbie Bannack of Schaumburg, IL, and Buddy (Tonette) James of Benton Harbor, 12 grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

Bob died Wednesday, February 12.  A son Joseph James and his parents Bud and Dena James precede Bob in death.  Funeral services will be celebrated Monday, February 17, at 12:00 PM with visitation prior starting at 10:00 AM at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet.  Bob will be entombed in a private service at North Shore Memory Gardens in Hagar Shores, MI.  Memorials may be made to Bob's family.  You may leave a memory for Bob's family at hutchinsfuneral.com.
