Rose (Viscuso) Hauch of Coloma passed away on March 7, 2023, at Pine Ridge Nursing & Rehab, Stevensville, Michigan.
She was born on Sept 21, 1928, in Chicago, Illinois to Frank and Josephine Viscuso. Their family moved to Coloma, Michigan, when she was young to become farmers. Rose was a graduate from Coloma High School. After high school she worked as an operator for Michigan Bell Telephone Company and later worked at Milleradio in Coloma. On Sept. 8, 1951, she married George F. Hauch, Sr. in Mountain Home, Idaho, where he was stationed in the U.S. Air Force. After his discharge, they moved back to Coloma to be near family and to begin one of their own.
Rose was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and Alter Society in Watervliet, MI., where she enjoyed volunteering at the school and church functions. She loved to host family cookouts and holidays, enjoyed camping with their kids and grandchildren, and watching their many sporting events.
Rose was preceded in death by her husband, George, her parents, and her sister and brother-in-law Toni and Ron Ives.
Rose is survived by her four children: George Hauch, Jr., Judy (Bryan) Davis, Jerry Hauch all of Coloma and David (Donna) Hauch of Watervliet; her brothers: Henry (Vi) Viscuso of Coloma and Salvatore (Claudette) Viscuso of Indianapolis; her grandchildren: Karla Tacy, Blake (Diana) Davis, Brad (Kim) Hauch, Alison (Josh) Randol, Ashley (Gerry) Hilder, Lindsey (Bryan) Klomparens; her great grandchildren: Brayden, Kaylin, Brockton, Everly, Colton, Dawson, Asher, Lennon, and Sofia. Rose also has many nieces and nephews who are very dear to her.
A family visitation will take place at the Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet, MI. on Sunday, March 12, from 4-7 p.m. She will rest in peace beside her beloved, George, at the North Shore Memory Gardens, Coloma, MI.
