Shelba's life began October 13, 1940 in Brosley, Missouri.  As a young child Shelba's family moved to southwest Michigan.  They settled in Eau Claire where her parents owned a store.  Shelba loved cooking, helping, and spending time with her family and friends.  She also enjoyed flower gardening, birds, and going to the casino with her friends.  Up until she couldn't work any longer Shelba had been working in the Deli at South Haven Wal-Mart.

Shelba's loving family includes: seven children Roberta (Jim) Ellison, Edward Stump, Jim Stump, Bryan Stump, Shelley Stump (Jerry Sayre), Lee Moore, and Scott (Laurie) Moore; 15 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a brother Bud Hartwell; a sister-in-law Joanne "Sissy" (Jack) Beers; and many nieces and nephews.

Shelba died August 5, at home surrounded by her loving family.  She is preceded in death by two husbands Roy Moore and Robert Stump, a daughter Deanna Bennette, her parents Edgar and Iva Mae (Burkeen) Hartwell, four sisters, and a brother.  Friends may visit with Shelba's family Sunday, August 10, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet where funeral services will be celebrated Monday, August 11, at 1:00 PM.  Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Cemetery.  You may leave a memory of Shelba at hutchinsfuneral.com.
