Stephanie Nicole
Wright
June 22, 1984 – May 13, 2026
Stephanie’s life began June 22, 1984, in St. Joseph, Michigan. Her mother was Trina Wright, and her stepfather Andrew Haines entered her life when she was just six years old. She graduated from Hartford High School, lived most of her life in Coloma, then made South Haven her home just 10 years ago. Stephanie had a knack for caring for others and made strong connections with several clients, as well as with their families, while working in home health care. She loved gathering with her family and friends and truly appreciated both giving and receiving a good story. Stephanie also enjoyed spending time with pets and coming up with new creative ideas for meals, crafts, or whatever else one can think of. She found nostalgic comfort in Disney movies from her childhood, loved watching cute animal videos, and she always made sure everyone else’s needs were accounted for.
Stephanie leaves an empty place in her family’s heart which includes: her two daughters Miranda Wright and Brianna Wright; her dad Andrew Haines; her grandmother Darlene Mitchell; two siblings Brittany Haines and Andrew (Chelsea) Haines Jr; her nieces Chloe Haines, Grace Chambers, and Alaina Loring; her nephews Trenton Haines, Connor Haines and Liam Dandurand; her cat Rajah; and two dogs Tippy and Branson, along with a number of extended family who loved her immensely. Stephanie passed away at only 41 years old on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Kalamazoo Bronson Methodist Hospital and is now at peace with her mom, whom she missed dearly in the last 14 years of her life. She is preceded in death by her mother Trina Haines, her grandfather Fred Mitchell, and her brother Gary Wright.Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet is assisting Stephanie’s family with cremation and they are planning a celebration of life for next month. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial donation in Stephanie’s name to Al Van Humane Society. Stephanie always made sure to care for others, animals included. You are invited to leave a message of comfort.
