Steven Duane Strouts, 59, the son of the late Robert O. (Jr.) & Edna Faye Jarrell Strouts, was born April 6, 1958 at Watervliet, Michigan and passed away December 27, 2017 at Watervliet, Michigan.

Steven attended Seely-McCord School for the deaf at an early age and transferred to Berrien Springs School for the deaf where he graduated.
Steven is survived by his daughter, Heather Ann Strouts of Lawton, Michigan; son, Rusty Jay Strouts of Galien, Michigan; Nieces, Ashley Denise & Tammy Faye Wells of Washington; nephew, Steven Dale Jarrell of Michigan;  Aunt & Uncle James & Ruth Ann Jarrell Ricketts, Walhalla, Michigan; Cousins, Linda (David) Haase, Watervliet, Michigan, Terry (Robin) Jarrell, Glendale, Arizona; Loretta Jarrell Mitchell, North Little Rock, Arkansas, Jennette Jarrell Davis, Gordon Jarrell & Scott Jarrell all of Dexter, Missouri, Richard Jarrell, Lawton, Oklahoma, Michael (Roberta) Ricketts, Columbus, Ohio, Jeffrey Ricketts of Pleasanton, California, and Bill Cheney & Kim Cheney Mendoza in Arizona.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents, Robert O. (Jr.) & Edna Faye Jarrell Strouts; brother, Robert Dale Strouts; sister, Anit Denise Jarrell Wells; maternal grandparents, Lige & Bessie Hopkins Jarrell; paternal grandparents, Robert & Blanche Maynard Strouts; Aunts, Frances Doris Jarrell Carr, Shirley Cheney; Uncles, Kenneth Jarrell, Carl Jarrell & Bill Cheney; Cousins, Ty Cheney, Doug Carr, Jane Carr Cross, & Kathleen Ross.
