Susan's life began June 15, 1943 in St. Joseph, Michigan.  She was a lifelong area resident, graduating from Watervliet High School.  Susan retired as administrative secretary to the President of De Groot Inc.  She was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Watervliet Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary.    Susan loved filling her time gardening, scrap booking, cooking, baking, and spending time with her grandchildren who were the love of her life.

Susan's greatest joy was her loving family which includes: her husband Kenneth Stewart who she married October 31, 1964; three children Kevin (Dawn) Stewart of Coloma, Mandy (Keith) Fulbright of Berrien Springs, and Darcy (Yuri) Minnick of Brighton, MI; six grandchildren Lane Stewart, Ashley and Jacob Fulbright, Samantha, Anna, and Andrew Minnick; two sisters Jean Genovese and Dianne Turner; and many nieces and nephews.

Susan died Saturday, March 14, at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville.  Her parents Carlton W. and Roberta (Williams) Steimle and an infant brother at birth Carlton Steimle Jr precede Susan in death.  Friends may visit with Susan's family Tuesday, March 17, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM with the Rosary being prayed at 7:30 PM at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, March 18, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Watervliet.  You may leave a memory of Susan at hutchinsfuneral.com.
