Danny Evans Costner

Danny’s life began August 31, 1956, in Lincoln Township, North Carolina. As a young child his family moved to Michigan for work. Danny was a hard working man his entire life. He work as a foreman for Sunrise Farms for 20 years, he also worked in factories and in construction for several years. His last job found him working for North Shore Memory Gardens. When he wasn’t working you could find him fishing or riding his motorcycle. Danny also enjoyed woodworking building clocks and tables. Danny found great comfort and loved going to church, spending time with God.

Danny’s greatest joy was spending time with his loving family which includes: his three children Danny (Amanda) Costner, Tina (Phil) Darling, and Tammy Hickman; 12 grandchildren Bre, Tone, Mariah, Tonia, Chas, Skyler, Jackie, Mandy, Emily, Brad, Halee, and Hunter; 11 great grandchildren; four brothers Randy, Johnny, Frankie, and Evans; five sisters Junie, Janie, Vickie, Patsy Ann, and Becky; several nieces and nephews; his best friend Tommy DeLoach; and his two dogs Lucky and Bear.

Danny died Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at home surrounded by family. He is preceded in death by a granddaughter Megan, a brother Stevie, his parents Evans and Addilee (Craig) Costner, and his good friend Bob Hankins. Danny’s life will be celebrated Friday, August 12, at Word of Life Fellowship, 330 S Pleasant Street in Watervliet at 3:00 PM with visitation prior starting at 2:00 PM. A friends and family meal will be immediately following at FGCT fellowship hall, 8080 Carmody Road in Watervliet. You are invited to leave a message of comfort for Danny’s family.
